To promote, stimulate, and encourage legislative mandates, professional preparation, advocacy,
and research in physical activity, physical education and recreation for individuals with disabilities.

The National Consortium for Physical Education for Individuals with Disabilities plays a leading role in shaping the direction of adapted physical education and adapted physical activity nationwide.

NCPEID Membership

Membership is open to all persons who are or have been involved in professional preparation, demonstration, or research activity related to physical education and recreation for individuals with disabilities. University faculty in adapted physical education aswell as public school and residential facility personnel are encouraged to become members.
