2021 NCPEID Virtual Poster Sessions

The National Consortium for Physical Education for Individuals with Disabilities (NCPEID) is announcing the Virtual Poster Sessions on Thursday, February 25 @ 7pm ET (6:15 p.m. social) and Friday, February 26 @ 5 pm ET (4:15 p.m. social) 2021.

The NCPEID organizes peer-reviewed, competitively selected presentations for its Virtual Poster Sessions program.

The virtual poster sessions will provide an opportunity for NCPEID members to engage with the exciting, recent research in the field of adapted physical education and adapted physical activity. These sessions will replicate the more informal and personal experience of an in-person poster session by connecting researchers with the audience during designated times.

What to expect during the Virtual Poster Sessions:

  • Presenters of accepted presentations will be asked to submit a PDF of their poster presentation and additional accompanying information such as your finalized abstract and Zoom link to the Virtual Poster Sessions Committee by February 8th, 2021.
  • The first or, if different, the corresponding author will receive an email from the committee shortly on or before January 18th with instructions and link to submit their finalized poster.
  • Finalized posters from all presenters will be made available through the virtual poster site no later than February 22nd. This site will be made available for all conference attendees starting February 22nd in preparation for our synchronous meetings on February 25th and 26th.
  • During the presentation days, presenters are asked to be available at the provided Zoom link during their scheduled time. This is a casual event that is meant to reflect the conversational nature of an in-person poster event, meaning visitors may come and go as they wish and presenters are not required to prepare any oral remarks.
  • As presenters will host their individual Zoom meetings, they will have the ability to share their computer screen if they wish (i.e., they could share their poster with Zoom meeting attendees). Presenters are expected to be present for the entire scheduled time.
  • Prior to presentations on each day, the NCPEID board members will hold a Zoom “social” to welcome all presenters and attendees.
