GovernanceThe National Consortium for Physical Education for Individuals with Disabilities (NCPEID) succeeds the National Committee on Physical Education for Handicapped Children and Youth (Committee), which was formed in 1973. NCPEID serves as a means of assuming the continuation of the pursuit of the activities and services of the Committee on behalf of the physical education needs of persons with a disability. NCPEID is governed by the NCPEID Bylaws, and is directed by the NCPEID Board of Directors. NCPEID's bylaws provide purpose, policies, basic rules, and structure for committees, annual conference, and more.
